Very fair. I agree with the B- grade. Mayfield did what was asked of him, and then some....

I like Mayfield and i think he can be a solid 5th or 6th dman. It's not like he's Brendan Witt, who couldn't keep up anymore.

Scotty brings enthusiasm and is involved on both ends of the ice. If it's a choice between Scotty and Pelech, i'm with Scotty all the way.

Hey Guys ( and Chiefs )
We kid on here daily, sometimes even debate size and how it matters but at the end of the day we are able to live free in this great country because of the Men and Women of our Armed Forces and we should all salute and thank them for their service.
Happy Memorial Day to all and again to all those who serve or have served thank you !

Let's Go Preds!

I totally agree JS, it was called a goal on the ice and for me you can't tell whether his skate is on or off the ice. Inconclusive imho.

Dude, not to be a d!ck (even though I am), but Memorial Day is a somber reminder of those that perished for us to be able to post our idiocy on this and other sites. Not to mention our freedom. It's not a happy day.
Go Preds.

His skate looked off the ice to me. Pretty conclusive.

But there's also a rule that, if you have control of the puck, your skate can precede the puck. It looked to me like his skate was still down when he received the pass, and he only lifted the skate after he was in control of the puck.

Died for us to live in the freedom that we are accustomed to living.
Thanking the ones that served or are serving, I think is admirable, unless you think I'm wrong.

That's Veterans Day. But your sentiments are what's important.

Correct JS, and taking all of that into consideration and the the play being called good on the ice. They are going to have to show me conclusive proof inbetween periods to change my mind that it was a good reversal of the call on the ice.

Of course you're wrong. You're always wrong.
Obviously you can thank a current or former military person any time. But that is Veterans day.

That part of the rule applies to already having possession as you cross the line, in this case his foot was off ice as he gained control, no hockey move made so it doesn't apply

He did not appear to have control when he lifted his skate. By the way, I hate that rule any way. If you're offside, you're offside.
Come on Preds, get your shit together!

That oversides call that took away the Preds goal changed all the momentum of the game. Preds came out flying, and that call, right or wrong, took the wind out of their sails, just to mix a metaphor.
